Dr. Prats obtained his DVM degree in1977 and his PhD in 1985 at the Zaragoza University, Spain.
He is Specialist in Physiopathology of Reproduction and Artificial Insemination and in Applied and Experimental Surgery and he is graduated in Ophthalmology. He has been working since 1978 in Companion Animal Surgery and is one of the founders of the European Veterinary Society for Small Animal Reproduction (EVSSAR) and founder and former president of the Study Group on Reproduction and Paediatrics of Companion Animals (GERPAC).
He has been awarded with Gold Medal from the Spanish Veterinary Association of Specialists in Small Animals (A VEPA) and with Honorary Medal from CNVSPA (French Association ofVeterinary Specialists in Small Animals),
Besides his professional engagements he his married with two children and owns three dogs and two cats.
