The 6th ISCFR and 6th Biennial Congress of the EVSSAR held in Vienna (Austria) was a real succes. More than 270 delegates from all over the world gathered at the Veterinärmedizinischen Universität Wien from the 9th to the 11th of July. Morning plenary sessions included topics about ovulation, fertility, contraception, pregnancy, neonatalogy, genomics and reproductive biotechnology research. In the afternoons,

73 oral communications, spread over 3 parallel sessions, about biology of pregnancy, andrology and spermatology, oocytes and IVM, semen preservation and ET, exotic species and animal models, showed the high level of research on the subject of small animal reproduction. A poster room with 78 posters was available to the delegates during and after the sessions.

During the Annual General Meeting, Prof. Wenche Farstad was awarded a Honorary Membership for her never ending support towards the Society being one of the founding members and the Editor of the Newsletter for many years but also to honour her still ongoing carreer devoted to animal reproduction and for her invaluable contribution to small animal reproduction in particular.
